about

Sharon BoehlefeldI’m a lifelong writer. I picked up a pencil shortly after I learned how to read. I carried my first newspaper article — a “society” item about the officers of my Camp Fire group — to my local paper when I was in grade school. They continued to publish my “press releases” from virtually every organization I belonged to in elementary and high school. They paid me for my first article when I was a junior in college. Then they hired me for my first job as an editor. Since then, I’ve helped lead book clubs and written reviews for daily and weekly newspapers in northern Illinois. I’ve also won an Illinois AP award for my reviews. That’s the non-fiction side of my writing. And this is my non-work review site. This blog is also an attempt to keep track of at least some of what I read and what I learned from it. I’m an eclectic reader, so anything could turn up. If you happen to find “Hey, I just read this book,” I hope you enjoy it,
